A single mother of three sons finds herself in need of work following a divorce. She learns a new trade and secures a good job. Life is good until her employer suffers a devastating fire that causes the firm to shut its doors. What is this resourceful woman to do? In 1976, Inez Shapiro started a home-based typesetting business in south Toledo, Ohio called Shapiro's House of Type.
What began as a small, woman-owned business - when it wasn't fashionable to be one - continues to thrive today under the continued leadership of the Shapiro family.
